ARTIST'S
STATEMENT Life cycles - the idea of a
things always changing, here then gone - are a constant
current within the things I make. Exploring this idea
helps me understand the concept of letting go with
grace. It helps me accept the mystery and complete
unknowingness of this thing that happens to every
person. I make objects that force me to let them decay
or disappear and to deal with them for a finite time.
Perhaps this is my practice for letting go on a larger
scale. Loss has come to mean many contradictory things
to me. On one hand it can mean sadness, emptiness. Or
it can present freedom and mystery.
